By registering for an eZitransact Account, you agree to:

Use the Services only for lawful business purposes.
Provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information.
Not use the platform for money laundering, fraudulent activity or any illegal transactions.
Ensure all devices used with our Services are secured and updated.

4. Account Registration and Access

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
eZitransact is not liable for unauthorised use resulting from lost or compromised credentials.
You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

5. Payment Processing

eZitransact enables merchants to accept payments through multiple channels, including card, EFT, QR and wallet-based transactions.
By using our payment services, you acknowledge that:

Transactions are processed through integrated third-party networks and financial institutions.
Settlement times may vary depending on bank and network conditions.
Fees and commissions will apply as outlined in your merchant agreement.

6. Fees and Charges

All applicable transaction fees, device costs or service charges are displayed prior to onboarding.
eZitransact reserves the right to adjust fees with reasonable notice, provided such changes comply with local regulations.

7. Refunds and Reversals

Refunds and transaction reversals are subject to our Refund Policy and applicable financial network rules.
Merchants are responsible for handling customer refund requests through the eZitransact system.

8. Data Privacy and Security

We are committed to protecting your privacy. All personal and transactional data are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
By using our Services, you consent to the collection and use of your data for operational purposes.

9. Device Usage and Maintenance

f you purchase or lease a payment device (e.g., FlexiPOS), you agree to:

Use it only for authorised transactions.
Keep it in good working condition.
Return or replace faulty devices as per our warranty terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

eZitransact shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages.
We are not responsible for downtime, delays or data loss caused by third-party networks or technical failures.
Total liability under these Terms shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the preceding three (3) months.

11. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

You breach these Terms.
Fraudulent or suspicious activity is detected.
Required by regulatory or legal authorities.

Upon termination, your access to eZitransact Services and data may be restricted or deleted as required by law.

12. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, designs and software are the exclusive property of eZitransact.
You may not copy, reproduce or distribute any material without written permission.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with South African legal procedures.
